We all are safe and sound just because our brave soldiers and officers are out there serving the nation with all their spirit. So it was a proud moment to come across and discuss the journey of this fantastic personality who served the Indian country for 15 years. Mr. Ganesh started his journey in 1986, where he joined the Indian Navy at the age of 17 and served for six years in INS Vindhyagiri and the rest of the years in the Shipbuilding center. Back then, India’s first nuclear submarine was about to get launched. No one knew then that a real estate stalwart was about to change the course of the real estate industry. Ganesh served the nation till 2001, where he completed two significant assignments and four years of training.
Ganesh retired in 2001, and after gaining a significant amount of knowledge, he moved to GlaxoSmithKlein in the consumer health care department. Ganesh has been a vital part of the utility engineering team of the Horlicks manufacturing facility, which was getting set up in Sonipat. He held four years with GlaxoSmithKlein and joined John Deere, where he laid multi-million dollar projects. In addition, John Deere established a corporate office in Pune under Ganesh’s leadership, which expanded to 4 other buildings. John Deere had two small units in Pune itself, the Electronic solutions and Product Validation & Verification lab. Ganesh was accountable for all the projects held at these workplaces. In addition, they had a joint venture with Ashok Leyland in Chennai.
Ganesh loves the industry’s dynamic nature and how one can excel with sheer talent and hard work, where it is not monotonous and every day is a new challenge. Therefore, every challenge and opportunity will be fresh and unique. In addition, Ganesh states: Creative thinking is an exciting aspect of the industry. These were the encouraging things that motivated Ganesh throughout his journey. According to Ganesh, family members support you in every phase of life and feel proud when you acquire a respectable position in the organization. Ganesh has always been approachable to everyone. He believes that everybody knows some bit that he doesn’t. He always involves himself in participation, decision making, idea generation, discussions, debates because he considers that solution has its way out from anyone around.
Ganesh focuses on keeping the team together, empowering the team for decision making, and thinking creatively. He always took challenges in the form of a development factor for the future. He was successful in ensuring to change dimensions effectively as enabled function in every policy and procedure. Ganesh speaks of being successful in the project domain and employee welfare as a defining moment of his career. In 2008-09, Ganesh worked on a vast project covering a set up of 165 Thousand Sqft for building a corporate office. The project was completed ten days in advance of the scheduled inauguration date. He was then awarded the John Deere Torch Bearer of the value award. It was the first Apex award honored to him.
Ganesh managed the challenges very effectively during the Pandemic. According to Ganesh, never demand respect; always command respect by your work, knowledge, and what you give to people, which people will appreciate and respect for you. Ganesh says, “Success is the measure of yours in others eyes” and “Satisfaction is a measure of yours in your own eyes.” Therefore, he thinks of Listening to people as a crucial aspect of every smooth execution. Ganesh lighted on how time is a significant factor in turning around things in a proper manner. Also, build, buy, borrow is the perfect example of keeping synchronization going. Collaboration happens when coordination is carried out physically. Ganesh said Hybrid culture would be embraced, which would avoid the psychological pressure due to working hours.
Ganesh aims to have his Real Estate Consultancy or Project Management Firm, which will have the potential to compete in the industry and bring a change benefiting society. The organizations would be looking forward to consolidation bonding in synergy with the people around.
