Mukul has been primarily from the Finance and banking industry and some of his startups, including Tourism and Hospitality. He has been part of the core team and stated the industry as the second-largest employment generating sector after agriculture.
According to Mukul, the model of coworking spaces has been a unique business model, but it was in bits and pieces, not very organized. However, it has the solution in the same commercial real estate periphery. He believes in nurturing and evolving the entire concept because there’s a long way to grow. Even after more than a decade of experience, Mukul thinks that the journey hasn’t even started yet as it takes a long way and hard work with compassion to be successful. Learning is the key to keeping going, and being open to changes prepares you to face the difficulties better. He thinks nurturing the team as your children and maintaining a personal bond with everyone are crucial aspects for a leader to run the processes smoothly. He’s been in sales predominantly for all these 13 years.
Mukul believes that one should enjoy the process and surround oneself with more intelligent and successful people. Be customer-centric, prioritize your own needs and wants after doing for others. A hunger for knowledge and upskilling will always get you in a better position because your jar can never be full. Challenges have not been a new thing for Mukul. After three years of his venture into the industry, his passion-driven ideas motivated him for his startup because of the scope and opportunities in adventure and tourism. After a series of failures, he gathered a certain amount of learning, implementing it in the further stages of his career. Mukul thinks that every small success until now has been a defining moment for him, but the biggest is yet to come.
According to Mukul, “Being ambitious and having a vision helps one scale and grow. So take bold decisions and be confident about it. On the other hand, be disciplined and have a planned approach because positive energy comes if you are excited about everything around you.” Adapting and being flexible for a change kept him focused on his goals as he is a hustler, curious and exquisite. Mukul believes in 9 rules: communication, time, cost, quality, change, risk, addressing issues, procurement, and acceptance management. There will be challenges but addressing them is more important to overcome them. The planning should be flawless, and the timelines should be minutely defined.
Assigning roles along with the flow of tasks improves coordinating and monitoring in real-time. Having backup plans gives you more options to achieve the required results. The essential thing Mukul states are acknowledgment and rewards brings out a positive sense of feeling in the environment. Keep the customer in mind and respect the skills and talent of each other to understand that they are there to bring something exclusive & different to the table. The best lines Mukul spoke for the competition were to collaborate and grow together because sailing through tough times together provides solutions to existing commercial real estate problems.
